Bordeaux Varieties
Argentina is renowned for its excellent examples of Bordeaux varieties which produce great wines of international prestige. Our own bottlings feature Malbec and Cabernet Franc, along with the queen of red grapes, Cabernet Sauvignon, and the elegance of Merlot.
Cabernet Franc
This 100% Cabernet Franc comes from a single block within our vineyards. This variety, after Malbec, is the one that has evolved best in the last five years. We strive to obtain varietal typicity with this high altitude Cabernet Franc - complex and well structured, with elegant tannins and the perfect balance of tannin from 12 months aging in French oak barrels of first and second use.
Cab/Cab
Cabernet Franc is one of the oldest wine grape varieties and the father of Cabernet Sauvignon (as well as Merlot and Carmenère). This co-fermentation combines the best of each Cabernet; Father and son coexisting in the same wine. The elegance and finesse of Cabernet Franc is complemented by the complexity and structure of Cabernet Sauvignon, achieving a complete wine for consumers with a love of Bordeaux varieties par excellence. Aged 18 to 24 months in first and second use barrels to tame the wild tannins of both grapes.
Magma
Our most complex wine, combining the finesse of Merlot, the power of Cabernet Sauvignon, the elegance of Cabernet Franc and the freshness and complexity of Malbec. Together, they make a beautiful blend for those with traditional palettes who like wines with deep and intense colors, complex and concentrated aromas, that are intense and long in the mouth. Aged 18 to 24 months in new oak barrels to finish refining, this unique interpretation on a Bordeaux blend is the perfect complement to any asado.
